For the fourth consecutive year, the Fort Lewis College Foundation is celebrating record-breaking fundraising success, securing nearly $21 million in gifts and commitments to directly support students, faculty, and programs.
The milestone year included over $7.8 million in new gifts and commitments and over $13 million in planned gift commitments. With this momentum, the Foundation’s endowment reached $38 million, a historic high that will sustain scholarships, academic and research innovation, and student success for generations. Donors also established 18 new endowed funds in 2024–25, bringing the total to 188. Scholarship funds awarded to students nearly doubled to over $2.1 million in a year.
“Our donors and philanthropic partners are making an impact in every aspect of our students’ lives—helping us secure their bright futures,” said ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ President Heather Shotton. “From the inaugural cohort of our CU Anschutz/ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative to the bold expansion of clean energy research, or the enduring promise of reconciliation to meeting our students’ basic needs, donor support has touched every corner of our campus, making sure our students are thriving, families are hopeful, and their communities are stronger.”
“Your investment at every level has a profound impact—fueling each step forward for our students, faculty, and staff, and helping build a vibrant campus and community. We’re deeply grateful,” added Melissa Mount, vice president of Advancement and CEO of the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Foundation.
“Our donors entrust us with resources that change lives, and we take that responsibility seriously,” said Steve Short, chair of the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Foundation Board. “This year’s performance reflects not only strong returns, but also disciplined stewardship and forward-looking strategies that ensure every gift makes the greatest possible impact for Fort Lewis College students—today and into the future.”
