Taylor Compton Graduate Intern Hi! I'm Taylor Compton, a Counseling Intern at Fort Lewis College and a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to creating a safe, affirming space for students to explore life’s challenges and strengths. I integrate humanistic, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, with a special interest in nature-based, adventure, and trauma-informed practices. I’m passionate about supporting students through issues related to anxiety, identity development, life transitions, and relational concerns. As someone who values connection and authenticity, I strive to walk alongside students with care, collaboration, and respect for their lived experiences and cultural background. Outside of the counseling space, I enjoy mountain biking, yoga, rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with my dog, activities that reflect my commitment to holistic wellness and balance.
