Amanda Pollack
Community Housing Navigation Coordinator

Amanda grew up in Virginia and earned her BA from the University of Virginia in Cognitive Science and Studio Art. She worked in public libraries and as an advocate at an organization that supports survivors of sexual violence before transitioning to work in higher education. As a Case Manager in Student Affairs at the University of Virginia, Amanda supported students through all kinds of challenging circumstances, like concerns with mental health, interpersonal relationships, and basic needs, and served in an on-call rotation for incident response.

At ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ, Amanda supports students with concerns related to off-campus housing (from housing search to tenant-landlord issues) and housing-related finances. She also organizes educational events and does community outreach with the goal of improving ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ students’ housing security. In this work, she aims to provide information, resources, and support while respecting and encouraging students’ own knowledge and agency. Outside work, Amanda enjoys making art and crafts, exploring the outdoors, and discovering new music.
