SOIL deepened its collaboration with Fort Lewis College this summer by hosting two interns from ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ’s Environment and Sustainability Department.

Students, alumni, and faculty are working alongside industry partners AES and Marathon Petroleum to bring solar energy to homes on the Navajo Nation. The Village Aid Project Solar Initiative blends student-led design with culturally grounded engagement, advancing energy justice and long-term infrastructure solutions.
The students partnered with Siyowi community to co-design sustainable infrastructure through ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ’s Village Aid Project.
Thanks to donor support, the Skyhawks men’s soccer team spent a week in Costa Rica training, competing against professional teams, and exploring the country’s beaches and mountains. The trip was especially meaningful for three players who call Costa Rica home. The Skyhawks open the season Sept. 4 at home against Lubbock Christian.
