The CATS team (Brandon, Bryce, Miles, and Patrick) supported everyone in multiple buildings over multiple day for the AISES sponsored Four Corners Computer Sciences Convening. They were there to help with tech expertise and support, even in the heat of the day. We appreciated you all so much!
Dr. Hakes gave an observatory tour for the AISES Four Corners Computer Sciences Convening group late one evening. The group was very appreciative and his willingness to show up and promote ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ and STEM (at 9:00PM) was above and beyond.
Thank you to Greg Yucha, Marc Huber, Gabe Thompson, Tristan Gulliford, Zane Brink, Hunter West, Topher Hughes, Sam Gallagher, Kendra Gallegos-Reichle, President Heather Shotton for facilitating the TRIO STEM3 move from Trailer #2 to Reed 086 & Reed 089. Greg provided excellent leadership and customer service in his role as Project Manager for the TRIO STEM3 move to Reed Library. His optimism, vision, and 'can do' approach in handling the logistics of the project made the move a smooth and positive experience. Tristan, Zane, Hunter, and Topher also provided (and continue to provide) excellent support in navigating our department's IT needs. Marc and Gabe provided solid leadership behind the scenes and helped us keep sight of the Big Picture. Sam played a key role in helping STEM3 to obtain the space we needed to effectively serve students. Kendra provided direct support and continuously advocated on our behalf. And President Shotton, as always, continues to provide our program with ongoing support behind the scenes, paving the way for us to be able to keep Students At The Center. TRIO STEM3 is super grateful for these and all of our campus partners (too many to name). Deepest thanks!
Mike and his team went above and beyond in providing multiple meals for a large group this summer. Their communication and flexibility made everything go more smoothly.
I would like to recognize Monica for her outstanding technical support on a major Workday project involving updates to more than 1,100 course definition records. She developed an efficient solution that allowed us to complete this complex project accurately and in a fraction of the time it would have taken manually. Her expertise, collaboration, and commitment to finding practical solutions were instrumental to the project's success. Monica's contributions will have a lasting positive impact on course planning and the student experience.
Olivia safely helped to reunite a baby and mama deer last week after a rough couple of hours when a bear was roaming the campus. It was a whole crazy thing that day, but she put many animal-loving hearts at ease with her can-do spirit.
Paul and his staff in the PPS Structural Department have been working hard trying to get campus ready for the fall, and it shows. Their tireless effort to make the buildings look great for the students and staff whether it be fixing walls and furniture, painting, or hanging posters and shelves, Paul and his staff are doing a tremendous job this year. Thank you so much for all you do for this community!
Sam and Jason were on top of everything in meeting the needs for a group of 150 people. These needs included many gallons of coffee early in the morning and meals throughout several days. They worked hard to make a quick catering turnaround happen seamlessly when space was limited. We appreciated all they did for us.
