The middle 50% of admitted students have GPAs between 3.11 and 3.95. Students with GPAs below 3.0 are encouraged to submit a personal statement about their academic journey.
The Colorado Department of Higher Education recommends that students planning to attend a four-year college or university in Colorado complete the following courses. These are considered one of many factors in ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ’s admission process:

It takes 15-20 minutes to complete your admission application and start your next adventure.
A non-refundable $40 application fee is required to process your application.
You can pay your application fee with a bank debit or credit card online with your application. You can also submit your application without payment and send a check from a United States bank or a bank money order in United States currency payable to “Fort Lewis College.” If you choose to send a check, please be sure your full name and date of birth are included on it.
You can request a fee waiver if you have extreme financial need. Select "yes" on the admission application when asked if you want to request a fee waiver due to financial hardship.
Upload transcripts to the admission portal, email, fax, or have your high school counselor send them to us.
We encourage you to submit a personal statement or essay as a part of your admission application. While optional, it can provide valuable information for our review process.

Admission to ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ is ACT/SAT test score optional. ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ testing codes are:
Students who are 23 or older or have been out of high school for at least five years may be required to take the Accuplacer exam to determine math and composition placement. The test is available at our testing center or often at your local community college.

Applicants are notified by email within 4-6 weeks of submitting a completed application. Applicants denied admission can request to appeal the decision for reconsideration.
Incoming first-year, first-time students through Fall 2025 receive a free season ski pass at Purgatory Mountain.
