Teacher Education students earn ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ's first-ever master's degrees

Fort Lewis College took a giant leap into the future in January 2012, when the Higher Learning Commission approved ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ's first graduate program: a Master of Arts in Education, Teacher Leadership Option. The first students in the M.A. program and the associated graduate-level Teacher Leadership Certificate program began their studies in Fall 2013.

Biology grads present their research

Under the direction of Biology Professor Julie Korb, seven recent Biology graduates presented their senior thesis research findings at the 13th Biennial Conference of Science & Management on the Colorado Plateau & Southwest Region, in Flagstaff, Arizona, in October.

Art & Design students get noticed

Five Fort Lewis College graphic design students have been recognized by Graphis: The International Journal of Visual Communication for their talents in design and advertising. Their works were featured in the magazine’s “New Talent Annual 2015.”

Shannon Soignier (International Relations, ‘99) has put together several talents to get where she is today. She has a background in medicine and meditation, and an interest in world affairs that started with her studies at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ.

Natalie Benally is the Voice of Dory

Natalie Benally (Theatre, '10) was selected by Disney to voice Dory in the Navajo-language version of Finding Nemo to stimulate interest in the traditional language among Navajo children.

Hofman Set to Transition into Retirement

Legendary Fort Lewis College head men's basketball coach Bob Hofman is spending his last year as coach emeritus during the 2015-16 season.  Hofman submitted his retirement letter effective August 1 but will serve a transition year as coach emeritus.

Skyhawks get fired up

This fall the historic ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ cannon was ready once again to put an exclamation mark on Skyhawks touchdowns.

Dawn Mulhern

Dawn Mulhern, associate professor of Anthropology, teaches students about everything from crime sites to Basketmaker sites in her forensic anthropology classes.
