Fulbright scholars as professors give students an educational edge

Fort Lewis College Associate Professor of Economics Robert Sonora will be spending part of 2013 working in Croatia thanks to the Fulbright International Exchange Program. It’s a win-win-win for the people of Croatia, Sonora, and for the future ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students that find themselves in one of Sonora’s future classes.

Road Scholars Team races the Iron Horse train for scholarships

A hundred and five riders will combine their love of cycling with their love of Fort Lewis College at this year's annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, when the Fort Lewis College Road Scholars Team races the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge train from Durango to Silverton in the Citizens Tour on Saturday, May 26, 2012.

Incoming freshmen go out and get wild

Before heading to class for the Fall semester, several dozen freshmen students will explore and camp in the San Juan Mountains -- the ragged range of peaks visible to the north from campus. While they're out there, they'll also be get to know some of their new classmates and learn about the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓÆµ culture.

Cycling team rides for #1 three-peat at Road Nationals

The Fort Lewis College Cycling team will be #1 in the nation for the third year in a row if it continues its recent run of successes at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships, May 4 - 6 in Ogden, Utah. The event completes the four-discipline collegiate cycling year, which also includes track, mountain biking, and cyclo cross.

U.S. Senator Udall offers Commencement Address at Fort Lewis College

U.S. Senator Mark Udall to speak at Fort Lewis College Commencement

United States Senator Mark Udall will offer the Commencement Address at the Fort Lewis College Spring Commencement on Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Whalen Gym. To accommodate the large number of graduates and their family and friends, there will be two Commencement ceremonies, one at 8:30 a.m. and the second at 11:30 a.m. Sen. Udall will speak at both ceremonies.
