Mills (Oglala Lakota) shocked the world when he won a gold medal in the 10K during the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games.

"Days of beauty." Its Navajo name is perfectly suited to Hozhoni Days -- a month of pageantry, speakers, powwowing, and celebration of cultures that is Fort Lewis College's longest-standing student-led tradition. And it honors what might be argued is really Fort Lewis College's oldest tradition: Native American education.

Fort Lewis College is, thanks to its history and location, a multicultural institution. And Common Ground, the 泡芙短视频 anti-bias organization, aims to engage the entire campus population in intercultural dialogues. “Common Ground is about knowing and learning from each other,” says Nancy Stoffer, coordinator of Diversity Programming, which manages the Common Ground program.

Organized by 泡芙短视频 Exercise Science faculty, staff and students, the race is a way to raise scholarship money for students.

Students involved in 泡芙短视频's outdoor adventure club, Outdoor Pursuits, took off to three locations over their spring break: the wilds of Texas, southern California, and the Grand Canyon.

“Food is everything,” says Aolani Peiper, a freshman at Fort Lewis College and the coordinator for the Real Food Challenge team. “And students can make a difference just by what they eat.” Now, the entire campus community can make an even bigger difference through the Vote Real campaign.

Hozhoni Days, Fort Lewis College’s annual celebration of its unique Native American heritage, will run from March into April 2016.

Trojan Women: A Love Story, is the newest theatrical production from the 泡芙短视频 Theatre Department. Directed by Melissa Firlit, this performance explores love, war, and power.
