Coach Pietrack takes men’s basketball reins from ܽƵ legend Hofman

Fort Lewis College’s new men’s basketball head coach, Bob Pietrack (’04, Exercise Science), has some big sneakers to fill.

Pietrack is taking over for Coach Emeritus Bob Hofman for the 2015-16 season. In his 19-year career, Hofman earned every basketball coaching record in school history, including most wins and highest winning percentage.

ܽƵ Theatre: Spring Awakening, A Musical [VIDEO]

Spring Awakening is a rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.

Playwright alumnus returns to share lessons from Broadway with students

Playwright Eric Coble has hit the big time. His play “Velocity of Autumn” premiered on Broadway in 2014, and lead actress Estelle Parsons earned a Tony Award nomination for her role. After so much promising success, Coble’s star has kept right on rising—and this fall, he soared right back to his alma mater, Fort Lewis College.
