Fall Blaze ride benefits ܽƵ Cycling team

Fort Lewis College Cycling invites all cycling fans to the Durango Fall Blaze Bicycle Tour on Saturday, September 26. The fully-supported group ride around beautiful Southwestern Colorado at the peak of autumn foliage season raises funds for the Cycling Scholarship, supporting cyclists on the ܽƵ Cycling team.

The Old Fort Farm Stand

The Old Fort in Hesperus, 20 miles west of Durango and the original site of Fort Lewis College, provides a place for students to get their hands dirty learning about sustainable food production. The Old Fort Farm Stand appears weekly on the ܽƵ campus, giving the community the chance to reap the benefits of their labors, with a great selection of fresh organic produce and grass-fed meats.

ܽƵ alumnus receives grant for Hopi outdoor program

Adventures for Hopi, a program founded by Fort Lewis College alumnus Marshall Masayesva (Adventure Education, 2014), has been awarded a $10,000 grant through the KEEN Effect grant program, which supports nonprofits around the world that inspire responsible outdoor participation.

Psychology Students Complete 5-Week Clinical Psychology Field School

Psychology Professor Brian Burke recently took five Fort Lewis students on the Clinical Psychology Field School program, a five-week externship incorporated into a six-credit upper-level psychology elective. From June to July 2015, students worked at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan and Pueblo.
