Meet our mission-driven team

Our mission is simple yet powerful:

“To strengthen students’ commitment to creating a more environmentally and socially responsible world by providing meaningful opportunities to foster change on campus and in the community.”

I am fortunate to have always lived, explored, and grown within natural spaces. From the semi-arid mountains of central Montana to the lush rainforests of Southeast Alaska, to finally settling here in the high mountains of Southwest Colorado, these spaces have shaped my interests and the activities I love. It is the communities that exist within these landscapes, however, that have been foundational to my values and beliefs. Communities rely on the varied skills, interests, and backgrounds of their members to grow and thrive. I am so excited to be a part of the community here at Fort Lewis College, both to contribute my knowledge in teaching, sustainable food systems, and food justice and to learn from and work with the students and staff here. It is my belief that as a strong community we can learn and grow from the past, celebrate one another, and thrive within our environment as we seek to create sustainable solutions in a quickly changing world.

I'm grateful to have the opportunity to work directly with students to create a more sustainable campus and community. I grew up in southeast Michigan, where I developed a strong connection to the natural world. I'm committed to celebrating our interconnection with all life and finding ways to enhance the well-being of individuals, our community, and the natural world. As the EC Coordinator, I organize events and support student Project Leaders as they carry out projects. I believe it's important to honor our physical, emotional, and spiritual insights as we seek to create a more environmentally and socially responsible world. When I'm not on campus, I like to go bird watching, trail running, swimming in natural waterways, and make music with friends.
